How to make poha

Poha is a traditional Indian dish made with flattened rice flakes. Here's a simple recipe for making it:

Ingredients:

2 cups flattened rice flakes (poha)
1 onion, chopped
1-2 green chilies, chopped
1/2 tsp turmeric powder
1/2 tsp mustard seeds
1/2 tsp cumin seeds
1/4 cup peanuts
1-2 tbsp oil
Salt to taste
Lemon juice (optional)
Coriander leaves for garnish
Instructions:

Rinse the poha under running water for a few seconds until it becomes soft. Drain the water and set it aside for 10 minutes.
Heat oil in a pan and add mustard seeds and cumin seeds. Once they start to splutter, add peanuts and fry for a minute.
Add chopped onions and green chilies to the pan and sauté until the onions become translucent.
Add turmeric powder and mix well.
Add the softened poha to the pan and mix well. Make sure the poha is coated evenly with the turmeric and onion mixture.
Add salt to taste and mix well. Cook for 2-3 minutes on low heat.
Add lemon juice if desired and garnish with coriander leaves.
Your poha is now ready to be served hot!
